This superfast train is an experience as one gets the opportunity to see the busy railway stations and early morning activities of a city coming to life in the morning. We would have chartered an entire carriage for our group.. Breakfast will be on board train.

Welcome to Agra - famous as the home to one of the Seven Wonders of the World - the Taj Mahal. The architectural splendour of the mausoleums, the fort and the palaces in Agra is a vivid reminder of the opulence of the legendary Mughal Empire. Agra was their capital for nearly a hundred years from 1564. A pleasant town, with a comparatively easy pace, Agra is known for its superb inlay work on marble and soapstone by artisans who are hereditary craft persons. The city is also famous for its carpets, gold thread embroidery and leather shoes. Special welcome with garlanding on arrival at the railway station with "Welcome" Banner and musicians in attendance.

In the morning you will visit the Agra Fort. Built by three Mughal Emperors starting from Akbar the Great in 1565 AD this is a masterpiece of design and construction. Within the fort are a number of exquisite buildings including the Moti Masjid, Jahangir's Palace, Khaas Mahal and the Sheesh Mahal, Diwane-i-Am, Diwane-i-Khas and Musamman Burj, where Emperor Shah Jahan, the fifth Mughal Emperor, died as a prisoner. Lunch will be at the Poolside gardens under gaily-decorated garden umbrellas to the accompaniment of Indian classical music.

In the afternoon, proceed to the world famous Taj Mahal by daily decorated cycle rickshaws or "tongas" (horse carriages). This is an interesting experience as you meander through the little streets of Agra. Taj Mahal - the inimitable poem in white marble is the finest architectural achievement of the Mughals. Built over a period of 22 years, by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in 1630, for his Queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains, it is one of the seven modern wonders of the World. Stay on here to witness the changing colours of this magnificent monument at sunset.

Evening : Mughal theme dinner. This theme dinner takes you back to the fabled world of the Moghuls. "Chobdars" (gatekeepers) usher guests to the "dawat-khana" (venue of the function). Hostesses clad in silken, flowing `ghagra' (skirts) and `chunnis' (veils) welcome the guests with flowers and "attar" (perfume) in the traditional style. Musicians will entertain and a sumptuous spread of Moghali delicacies will be served in a manner befitting royalty.
